Adding Test Items from Your Available Libraries
When building a test, you can add existing items from your available item libraries.
1.To add items from the library, click Add from Library on a blank test page in the test builder. The Filters panel appears.
- You can add multiple items to your test at one time by marking the checkboxes beside the Add button. When you are finished, click Add Items to Test in the toolbar to add the selected items. The item list under the Layout panel on the left will be updated.
- If an item library is exclusive, its items cannot be added to tests that contain items from any other library, including items that you created. If you select the Add from Library button for an exclusive library, such as the NGSS Interim, every other item on the test will also need to come from that library.
2. To display the available items, select the appropriate filter options and click Apply Filters. The filter options available here are the same ones that are available on the Items tab.
- To change the selected filters, click Show Filters in the corner.
3. To add an item to the current test page, click Add for the item you want to add.

4. In the preview window that pops up, click Add Item to Test.
- If you want to edit a Draft library item that you added, you can click its thumbnail in the Layout panel on the left and then click Edit in the top-right corner. You cannot edit the content of Published items you add to the test.
- Any edits you make to a Draft item on this test will affect the same item on any other tests it belongs to (and vice versa).
